Re: DVDRWs : - My BIG ONES! SATA

Thanks Zebadee for the information, but I have heard a lot of complains about Samsung drives with tray problems. Has it been rectified?

Remove SAMSUNG and TSST.

In case some of you don't know how to get to the registry. In 'Run' box with Windows pre Vista type " regedit" Without the "" & press enter.
In Vista the search box just above the Start button. Same method.
Thanks a lot! Worked perfectly. Repped

Hi
You are right to wonder on this.
I found the 203 to be well built compared to the competition.
So under 'normal' operating should last quite a while.
Only Pioneer & LG were it's equal.
Gone are the days of really sturdy trays though.
The latest range of Lite-Ons (prefix DH-) have the most flimsy tray I have come across. Even the weight of a blank disc looks as though it is almost too much.

Re: DVDRWs : - My BIG ONES! SATA

Thats right, we don't get sturdy trays now. My recently bought SONY DVDRW has a very flimsy tray as compared to my sony combo drive, two years back....
