Zotac gtx 760 reference or amp edition

Hi Guys i am planning to upgrade my 560ti for upcoming games as well skip the 6 series.

Is this 760 gud to go or 6 series still better. I feel 760 out par in most reviews and 770 beyond budget and req

I get 760 @ 21k and amp at 23.5k apx

Let me know your thoughts.

Get the AMP edition, your default stock speeds will be good enough for most games at 1080p.

Don't get the AMP edition. Cooling is no so great, and heats up like hell.
Take the Asus DCII OC version for 22-23k

You've a good ventilated system, so pick the fastest 760 in market. Asus one will have 3-5 C cool, but If you're ok with Rashi peripherals for RMA, then grab it.

Re: Zotac gtx 760 reference or amp edition

@nathan

Well going for AMP Edition is not good for any RIG "Who doesn't have best cooling cabby and CPU cooler...You have both...So you can go with @ashislakra1989 suggested GPU....

But yaa @realandR3cys suggested GPU, Asus DCII OC version is also a good option...But if sometime you are getting problem with your GPU...You have to send your GPU for RMA...It's goes to Rashi peripherals for RMA...

Rashi peripherals RMA is not so good compare to others...Exception given to MSI service centre...

So, Now think wisely and choose...I will get back to you with some other info soon....

Avoid ASUS at such price bracket. Rashi sucks big time ! Stick with Zotac

Re: Zotac gtx 760 reference or amp edition

Asus products have an immensely quality built, for their products.
Now Zotac is not so good in that area.
I remember my friend having problems with his GTX670 AMP. The fans were of mediocre quality and had too much of overheating issues, in summer mostly.
Last year summer 2 of friends' GTX560Ti failed, and both of them are from Zotac.
Aditya infotech RMA service is good, but the quality of Zotac products is B-grade IMO.

In the same time, i hear very less Asus GPUs heating up or failing.
RP Tech improved a lot from what it was in the past.

Zotac is good, but Asus is better.

Totally offtopic:

Get a 7950 VaporX instead, Much better choice than any 760.

Re: Zotac gtx 760 reference or amp edition

i have been with amd not gud enough for most games. I saw most benchmarks nvidia ahead though the decision is not from benchmark.

I feel phyx one important factor and the new gpu is lower power consumption and better than 660ti and worried what if 760 ti comes in and this one goes down

I am getting 21.5k locally for asus

i was wondering the zotac amp is costly and too open to get dust into it

As far asus is concened i heard that the gpu had tweak for direct power to reduce the gpu board heat.

Also asus my favorite and none failed so far.

I will not overclock for a year till games need a push all i wanted to play all games max beyond 35 fps and the reason i skipped 6 series is for that as cpu market keeps pushing less power consumption and i expected the same for gpu market as nowadays electricity comes at a cost.

I am in for asus let me know i will grab that for 21.5k

I have to trade my current gtx 560ti 4 yrs left just close to 1 year i used. it was too gud for any games i throw.

I love this card. but its power consumption is killing beyond 200w not sure if the same for 760 but worth if ease the play

Well you know the answer, Because you already make your mind for ASUS GPU...

Then go for Asus DCII OC version suggested by @realandR3cys mate....

Hope this will help you....

In that case...I wanna tell you the GeForce GTX 760 is the direct successor to the GTX 660 Ti...
Likewise...All the time some new GPU came to the market and the previous GPU's price fall down...[ For Example:- Because in a little less than a month has transpired since the launch of the GeForce GTX 770, and we're back again with another new NVIDIA card.]
So don't be afraid and carry on with your decision....

Hope this will clear your doubts...
