Windows 10 Networking Issue

hi everyone

i am not able to access pcs on local network in windows 10 pc
so here is my complicated network setup.

https://s1.postimg.org/5xuno6j2n/network_map.jpg

the image is self explanatory. i am not able to access other pcs on my windows 10 desktop.
also the ip configuration range is different for pcs connected via asus router and of my pc. maybe this is the problem
how can i fix it. because internet has to come from connect router and pcs are on different floors so these two hubs are necessary.

please help me fix this so that all pcs get internet and my windows 10 pc can also access the pcs on asus router.

thanks

Hi,

Its a hub between router ? The first image with different ip is not opening.. Anyway in your setup try using same 192.168.1.x range on all hubs and pc.. Your router is not l3 switch so it can't route different ips.

yes there are two hubs.one hub connects asus router to this connect modem and other hub connects my windows 10 pc to the first hub .

my asus router which is connecting those 3 pcs on left in the image has ip address of 192.168.2.1 and its dhcp range is 192.168.2.2 to 192.168.2.254

if i try to change it i am not able to do it.
it says "wan and lan shud have different subnet" something message.

my connect router which is just providing internet has ip of 192.168.100.1 and if i try to change it to something like 192.168.2.X it stops working by giving a message. now i am not even able to open this routers page.

please suggest what can be done

thanks

Hi,

A bit confusing statement above.. What I understand is ..

1. You have a modem which is provided by your isp and its ip is 192.168.100.1

2. You have a asus router connected there after which has 192.168.2.x in dhcp

3. Hubs are connected to asus router and they are switching devices so they don't have any ip address

4. The computers connected to the hub have 192.168.2.x ip address

If above is correct then do the following

1. Turn on file and printer sharing under network connection's

2. Disable windows firewall for all domains

3. Ensure you have the same lan policy across all systems.. Eg : Public lan, private lan etc..

4. If you are using hotmail or outlook to sign in then when you put the share ip \\192.168.2.x\c$ .. The $ sign enables admin shares

5. Lastly ensure you are using admin account

Hope this helps

Ps: If your router page is not opening try a different browser or restart the router.
