nah, I'm not interested about what SC guy has said just asked you out of curiosity to find the cause of the issue.

Re: Whats the Problem with I5 3570k?

ohh... and about the issue i too wonder what was the cause other then the thermal compound... do you really think that cheap TiM can cause such issue?

if my memory serves me well i think i mounted my h100i correctly each and every time. but for being on safer side, please can anyone explain proper steps.

Cheap tim won't bend the pins, but they're equally responsible for high temps and damage CPU. If thermal paste can't conduct heat properly to heatsink, then it'll surely overheat and reach its throttle temperature which is really bad. If your RMA goes without trouble, then you've to buy a good TIM like Arctic Silver 5 or Noctua NT-h1 or Antec Diamond 6. I've used all 3 of them and found Antec to be best among these three, but it doesn't matter as the difference is only 0.5 - 0.9 Degrees. Don't sacrifice your CPU again

Re: Whats the Problem with I5 3570k?

just wanted to know how did you mount the radiator...was it vertical or horizontal?
I had a similar issue with my HOC 40, when no load temps were in 70s and on load temps were 100c, turned out that since there was some air in the system, at once particular position, the complete water cycle was broken...hence there was no water circulation...

.

The entire CPU pin socket can be replaced for 500 under warranty from Rashi or digi if need be. Check with them. I had it done for a V Gene recently through Rashi.

it was a proper factory replacement. Foxconn socket if i remember correctly the same that ships with the board. The change does not affect your warranty.
