Apparently, a lot of people play Guitar Hero plus it can be pretty competitive. Carom 3D however is just ..errrmm..lol

Quake used to be a part of WCG and ESWC but ESWC got done and ever since its revival, it's been sulking. WCG, well, it's officially boring now.

No Arena FPS ? I so miss the Q3 Arena days
Warcraft III is a joke on the RTS genre. The decade old AOE II and RON are still way better.

Money baby. Publishers are not backing their big-name games any more. At the end of the day, Blizzard is willing to put more cash and resources behind WCII than MS is willing to do for AoE or RoN, so the decision is simple.

I suppose Guitar Hero and Carom are there as a concession to casual gamers.

I'm not condoning any of this rubbish, mind you, just stating possible reasons.

WoW has more viewership than Quake Live and CS 1.6 combined..lol

No wonder even the prize money sucks at these tournaments compared to the glorious stuff back in the day when a lot of cool things were happening.

Quake is doing pretty well in Europe. They still have defrag tournaments which is nothing more than a trickjumping and freerunning competition.

Trust me if this takes place in India ( which i doubt, will happen this year) ..... only CS/WOW/Trackmania will take place...

Shitty management is what i blame.... and worst ever PR.

Oh and the best part would be the timing and venues these shitsbags choose.
