Or this one DELL MONITOR 24" LED S2440L

Anyways, TN monitors have better response time and are ideally suited for gaming. IPS monitors have a bit more input lag than TN but have much better and accurate color reproduction. So whichever way you want to go - it is a tradeoff.

For me, I would choose an IPS monitor over a TN anyday.

Re: Three Month, Full on Upgrade Plan :P 45K. THEME: Power Efficiency

Yeah, I agree.

But does it really affect the game play (input lag of IPS displays) ?

I'm asking this coz I might get a 7950 instead of the 660 or 660ti (but I'm not sure about losing NV's Phisyx. Is it really worth it ?) . So, I a need good monitor !!

Re: Three Month, Full on Upgrade Plan :P 45K. THEME: Power Efficiency

I use an IPS monitor myself, and no, it does not affect gameplay. If you have super sensitive eyes you might see some blurring, but that is limited to older generation S-IPS/H-IPS displays. New generation AH-IPS or E-IPS displays are much better in that aspect.

Thats nice to hear !
And it would be great if you help me find a good IPS monitor (HD) within my price range.

BTW, the Dell 2440l monitor is VA type, right ?
Isn't it VA panels are slower than even the IPS ones ?

Well, they are a well known brand in my state. And many organizations including our company are using their UPSes without any problem !

But, I'm a bit concerned about the change over time. Is 3 ms good enough ?
Can the APC 1.1kva switch even faster ?

Re: Three Month, Full on Upgrade Plan :P 45K. THEME: Power Efficiency

I'll get the salary this week and I'm hoping to buy now.

1. Mouse: Not decided.
I use mouse heavily as I'm a designer, so it need to withstand lots of clicking and scrolling.
Its the third mouse I'm replacing with the same problem, worn out scroll wheel.
@jdn recommended me to buy the CM Spawn or Xornet but I find them a bit costly. I'm thinking about getting the Logitech G100.
What you guys think ?
Budget: Rs 1200
Max: Rs 2000
2. PSU: Seasonic 520W
BTW, if I do get the i5 xxxxK or even the i7 K and an AMD 7950, would it be enough to power it ?

Budget: Rs 4000

3. UPS: APC 1100VA or Hykon 1KVA
Leaning to the APC side unless I get a sweet deal on the Hykon !!

Budget: Rs 4500

The only reason to go for the G100 is price. Also, I use both hands...so, it must work with left and right grips.

Re: Three Month, Full on Upgrade Plan :P 45K. THEME: Power Efficiency

It isn't a must. But for future upgrades, and in general some operating headroom for your components, it is better to have a little higher rated PSU handy. You might not need all of that 620W now, but who knows if in future you want to add more RAM or a faster processor or throw in a couple of hard drives. You don't want to upgrade your PSU all the time, right? That's what it is for, essentially.
