Most of Indian Servers are laggy, hence we do not play on them.

Though the answer should be yes, but again since there are pretty less number of servers in India, hence when tMg is not scrimming, we remove the password, so that it can be used as a pub server.

thanks for the quick response. is there anything like a console setting I can do to lower my ping for tf2?

plus, are there any guides for total and complete newbies?

hoipolloi get hold of thebanik (aka Snipingyoudown) or SHADY..... best Indian Tf2 players out there. They give out free lessons too.

I'm sorry for the OT, but anyone who thinks TF2 is 'playable' at 140 or even ~100 pings *needs* to play at ~10-15 pings to feel the difference.

I had to COMPLETELY revamp my playing styles as Demo/Sniper/Pyro. And on a side note, I was MVPing as a Scout in pubs, which NEVER happens to me (I hate Scout).

ok. my steam id is hoipolloi so you guys can see how utterly noobish I am right now ... you can see the stats of other players, right?

so, i'm assuming that i should just put in the number of hours in order to get comfy with the classes. what classes do you recommend for beginners? are there any console settings that i can use that will lower my ping?

Absolutely True I always feel restricted while playing scout and solly at 100+ pings.

@Hoipolloi: Just muck around with classes to begin with, you'll find one that'll just be right for you.

And no, AFAIK there are no console settings to lower pings. :-/

Yeah there is a huge difference on low pin There are 2 lag free servers now in india the tmg and VS pub server but nobody plays on them since nobody has the patience to wait for more players to join so it basically stays empty unless someone starts inviting friends to play.

these days we are playing 24x7 arena on the tmg server. the problem with vs pub server is that nobody has rcon for it and so it's been db4ever :/

Yeah there is no mp_timelimit for the maps so its stuck on dustbowl forever
