As time passed by there was an infusion of architecture from various cultures and that can be seen in various monuments across India. It is true that many non-Muslim places of worship were razed to make way for mosques in various parts of the country.

I have heard RSS pracharaks say this but the Hindutva Facist brigade doesn't just consist of the RSS. There are many other affiliated organisations and it is common practice to bunch all of the "Sangh Parivar" into one and call them the RSS. This is technically wrong.

^^ because it happened ages ago, and now there is no one to say anything on the matter, such groups can create un rest by creating hysteria about such things. But whether it was a temple or a mosque, it is over 300 years old, one of the 7 wonders of the world, and is a heritage which should be protected.

I Agree, it doesn't matter who built it. What matters is it is part of Indian heritage, an extremely beautiful architectural construction and part of the seven wonders of the world.

P.S: I do find Fatehpur Sikhri a lot more attractive and amazing!

i am not going to pass judgement on which is true - the theory above or the history books. simply because i was not around when the structure in question was built. you could figure out the age of the structure by carbon dating the wood foundation. but why? status quo is fairly nice. Converting a supposed celebration of love into a place professing a certain belief (any, hindu or muslim) is not really a good idea.

a lot of these kinds of theories are supported and fueled by the haze that shrouds certain aspects of the subject in question. like a chamber sealed up. or a thick iron gate guarded by grim looking brutes. and sign boards saying 'not allowed beyond this point' without a credible reason. Let us admit the fact that authorities have better access to the truth behind the haze than us. And if they are going all out to maintain the haze, there has to be a reason behind it. possibility of a shit storm or vested interests or plain lethargy..whatever.

One thing that anyone would agree upon- these theory write ups are very interesting to read

TBH it does matter. But question is, is it really worth ? It might again start Hindu Muslim fights. Remember what happened after Babri Masjid ? so many got killed & raped. It gave birth to Tiger Memon & then 1993 bomb blasts happened.

If same thing going to repeat again, then no. Be it whatever the Taj or Tejo Mahalaya is.

After the demise of JL Nehru by Syphilis (sic ) The Gandhi family went and unitedly made a commitment against the disease and vowed to eradicate it from the country, the efforts of that have borne fruit and India is a syphilis free country..
