SVGTECH HOC 40 and HOC 20 Liquid Coolers Review

After Last Months Preview of SVGTECH's closed loop water coolers we are today ready to review these coolers. If you have not seen our preview or have not heard about SVGTECH then let us do a refresher course again. SVGTECH is a startup and the first Indian company to assemble CPU water coolers in India. Which in our opinion is a big achievement. These coolers do not look cheap and at launch there would be 4 Products in the lineup, 2 are closed loop water cooling kits. HOC 40 which is the top end cooler from SVGTECH followed by HOC 20. Next in the air cooling lineup is AOC 120DT, its size would put the Megahalems to shame I say, followed by 120ST, which is small but still not so small, should work great with people using smaller cabinets which have very less width. Finally these coolers will be followed by HOC60 which has a 360mm radiator and again would be a first in India since there has been no coolers available in India with a bigger radiator than 240mm.

All in one liquid coolers have come a long way in the last couple of years, from expensive and ineffective kits which were not even able to compete with water coolers to kits available now, which look simple, and are pretty effective which gives a few degrees better temps than the best of air coolers while costing almost similar to the Top air coolers and having fan controllers to run almost without any noise, if and when required.

And today with a fatter radiator than competition (which are Corsair H100 and H80 alongwith Thermalright Venomous X )and quick disconnect feature on the HOC40, both the HOC40 and HOC20 look attractive in specifications and hopefully the difference between air coolers and closed loop kits is only going to get widened. But first lets move ahead and take a look at the compatibility list and specification of each of the coolers before moving on to unboxing them.
