Suggestions regarding Parental Control distros and software

My sis is burning the wires on the Internet and my Dad asked me to ensure she can browse only for a limited time.
This is because of her 12th exams.

So I decided to do this:
-Install Ubuntu Christian Edition that has parental controls built in
OR
-Install alternative Linux distro with this software(https://launchpad.net/timekpr)

Since she also requires iTunes to sync her songs, I will install Windows XP with Internet disabled.

Now I need to know the following:
-Has anybody installed a Linux Distro will solid parental controls that allows for restricting surfing time.
-Apart from Sygate, does anybody know of any other freeware for Windows that will restrict browsing time.
-Anything I missed, or any gotchas.

I will keep my complex solution to myself man .
I hope you find a proper parent control software, rather than my weird scripts and squid proxy solution .

No squid and no dansguardian for me.

Simple one is fine. She knows how to use the computer and surf. So nothing advanced required.

Mandriva comes with full blow parental control. It wil not allow net access if you define it and you can even blacklist website from there..

You can also define the time period in which she is allowed to surf.

Just my 2 cents, have you heard about the cybercafe softawares?
they are pretty good at controlling the access and are available a dime a dozen..
Installing Linux for just limiting her time on the net seems a little too much effort to me.
Edit :: something like this
