Suggestions for a Gaming Headsets/headphones

Budget : 4000 (+/-)

What I want : 1. Excellent noise isolation/cancellation
2. Superior comfort
Other things dont matter and I'm content with a decent sound quality but noise isolation and comfort is a must.

Nope. But I dont mind spending 1k on a sound card to use the headphones with full potential.

Im thinking of buying Steelseries Siberia 4H. Posted here since its almost the same question. Wrth it? or any better option?
No budget as such, basically want to spend as little as possible. Also the headset has to be Over the Ear.

Buy Siberia v2 as it is the best noise canceling head phones in its range.

Since you don't have a soundcard, i'll drop you with two pathways:

1. As per your budget of 4k, i would suggest getting either CM Ceres 500 or Sennheiser PC310.

C500 & PC310 both have the levels of comfort, which is great, with C500 slightly better due to the inclusion of mesh ear pads which sucks all your sweat.
Sound is slightly better on the PC310.
Both have the same levels of passive noise cancellation (you can't expect active cancellation at this price).
Do remember PC310 dosen't have a volume switch on it. So, that may be a major concern.

2. If you intend to extend your budget, then the CM Sirus S (notice the "S") along with a soundcard like Xonar DG.
Sirus S would set you back by 5.4k and the XDG by 1.6k

Do remember that you don't need a soundcard in the 1st option!

Hmm right. I came to know one thing , that gaming headsets are not good for movies/music . Is that true ??
What would you suggest for an all rounder ?? The Sennheiser PC310 looks good though .. general listening + gaming. what do you say ?

Yes. But not necessarily always.
Like the higher costing PC360 / Roccat Kave, do quite some audiophilic justice.
Yes, you can get much better audiophile headphones for music at the same price, but those wouldn't be geared much towards the gaming scenario, isn't it?
Gaming headsets are very good for movies mind you due to their ability to provide a deeper surround sound (would suggest "True" surrounding headsets anyday).
So, gaming headsets are totally made with gamers' need in mind - to fulfil those requirements.
If you want audiophilic headphones, then there are other options for you.

What i suggest? Well, you can't go wrong with either one.
The sound of C500 is geared slightly more towards a bassy SQ, while PC310 a neutral signature.
Both have crystal clear sound production.
If you have made up your mind for PC310, go for it (keeping in mind with that one flaw i mentioned).
Up for 4k

It was a good headset once. Built on Corsair's earlier HS1A which was launched at 2.7k in India.
SQ is totally identical. Even the build (almost).
But since then, better VFM headsets have popped up within the same price point of 3k, like the Ceres 400 or Siberia V1.

V1300 isn't have the best of SQ, as it's identical to the low costing HS1A. Bass is much much less prominent than the two i mentioned above, and plus the overall quality isn't that satisfactory.
And then there's the mic, where the V1300 completely fails. C400 has the best mic performance among these.
Comfort & build are all the same though.

So, yeah.
