Suggest a Voltage Stabilizer for a 1.5 Ton AC

The stabilizers given away with the AC are of a really poor quality. Can someone please suggest a good Voltage stabilizer below 3K.

We have a V-Guard for our TV. Nothing special, it just does the job. Looks damned odd, though. I prefer the old boxy stabilizers.

Is it better than the stabilizers they give free with the AC's like Bluebird and all.

I wouldn't know. Like I said, it does the job.

How do you rate stabilizers anyway?

Don't know. That's why asking. With some stabilizers the compressor of the AC keeps turning off, only the fan starts working.

Re: Suggest a Voltage Stabilizer for a 1.5 Ton AC

Depends on how much voltage fluctuates in your house . In my house it sometimes drops to 170V so we got 3 Bluebird Slim stabilizers (one each for a Samsung window , Carrier Window and Hitachi Split , all 1.5T) which support an input of 160-260V , they are working fine till now and are compact . IINM costed 2k each

Disclaimer : Have used them only for 1 month , can't comment on long term reliability .

Suggesting a Voltage Stabilizer for a 1.5 Ton AC

Assalam o Alaikum!

I'm from Hyderabad, Sindh;

I would suggest you that you should buy a stabilizr for your 1.5 ton AC. We have 1.5 ton AC of PEL company. The current load in our area was low so when ever we were starting AC after 10 to 15 minutes the circuit breaker button goes down and AC shuts down.
Now we have bought a Stabilizer of 7500 watts of 3 RELAYS it costed us 10,000 rupees and it is of UNIVERSAL'S ASKR company.
Now our problem is solved and ACis running smoothly without shutting down.

Thanks;

That would be an overkill for us. We don't have that big a problem of voltage fluctuation.

None of the stabilizers I have looked at till now have been ISI marked. Additionally my main concern is that whether they even perform according to their specifications. I just bought a carrier Voltage stabilizer for a friend and even that is without ISI mark. I wonder why.

Re: Suggest a Voltage Stabilizer for a 1.5 Ton AC

just buy the vguard ...or you can contact the local AC/refrigrator repair shop in your area if you have low voltage problem in your area . Voltas , Whirlpool all are manufactured by some other company
