Suggest Optical to 5.1 converter

Hi all. Please advice me on what option i have in market for a optical to 5.1 analog converter. I have a optical output which needs to be connected to 6 channel amplifier.

Will this card work without a pc, if i give 5v input to usb?
will it covert optical to 5.1?
