@RajaPraveen @baba doga @ManISinJpr @frankmehta you too
Check this image

The guy told it would cost around 6 grand for installation as for inverter minmum 12 feet copper pipe is needed O.o but some dealers told me 10 feet. Should I consider buying ac from him and getting it installed elsewhere? I don't think so it would be sensible to do this for saving a grand or two. How much should it ideally cost? My requirement would be a standard installation with the minimums the conditions are normal.

@RajaPraveen @baba doga @frankmehta @JD666 @ManISinJpr
please check the above installation quote and above post
P.s.: it's not the daikin's install quote, I don't know if daikin is involved in it or not, but it's official distributors quote.
Thank you.

Re: Suggest Moi an AC!

Bro, you can measure the length of the pipe that these people install and that would give you a right figure, but first of all, are these people approved by Daikin??

Re: Suggest Moi an AC!

The installation is little expensive so you should try some other A/C mechanics who also provide installation, maybe then you will get an idea how much these installations cost in your city.

Well, I checked some local mechanics. They told this:
1500/- Standard Installation
500/- for the angle
200/- per feet of copper pipe.
That's it. They did not tell anything about Nitrogen testing or anything else.

How do i check that mate? I got a pamphlet in the local newspaper of Daikin, with 4 retailers name and I called one of them. They only told that "Daikin ka koi installation kit nahi aata hai sir. Humlog apna karte hai" something like that, but he is a proper retailer maybe a distributor too.
It's not just the copper pipe bro, pressure testing MS structure etc, it is looking very pricey.

Re: Suggest Moi an AC!

they are bluffing you around. 90% of AC technicians use detergent water for leak test.

ensure that the copper pipe used for inverter ac is at least 0.8mm thick.

oooo! So you are saying I would be safe with a local engg doing a basic leak test, rather than paying those pro guys 550/- for n2 testing?

BTW, the installation has been withheld for a few days (demise of a family member, but thora door ka rishtedaar)

Re: Suggest Moi an AC!

Guys, one question..does daikin provide any free service in the first year? @RajaPraveen

My ac has this weird problem, when I turn it on for 5-10 minutes this very bad odour comes..i think it is because of the shit of pigeons on the outdoor unit :/ how can i get it fixed..daikin guys charge a fortune for everything.what are the services charges anyone?

Re: Suggest Moi an AC!

get a local AC mechanic and get this fixed, cleaning the outdoor unit does not require an expert, will cost 500 to 750 bucks max.
