Suggest a good 5.1 or 6.1 speaker system for less than 5k!!!

Yup I finally need to retire my ageing Sony MHC GX 2000 and need to get myself a all rounder 5.1 or better speaker system for my PC. I need the speakers for games, movies and music. I'am currently using the SupremeFX (ADI 1988b) soundcard on my system which came with my motherboard, which supports 7.1 channel speakers. My budget is at the max 5k..but that can be stretched a little bit for a superior product..

Altec Lansing 251i ?... I think its around 5k

I really shy away from Creative when it comes to speakers.

If the X530 is ~4.5k, then its worth it. Else, get the 251i.

Also, what Soundcard are you using? If its onboard, then save cash and just get the 251i.

As far as i know .. X530 are really great for the price ... and they are for 5-6 K ... i really dont know the exact cost ...

Forget the 251i. The original 251 series (The one I have) were good, but I heard the latest 251i selling in the market have slightly inferior specs and not up the original series in terms of audio quality. The 251 has been actually been phased out in the rest of the world, but it seems they are selling these cheaper, lower quality versions in countries like ours.
