Introduction

So.. Your thinking the DeathAdder is the best mouse out there and nothing else can rival it?...
Well, on the face of it, you have a point, because the Deathadder's Sensor is the best out there, and it would take some miracle for a company to come up with a better mouse.

This is a Gamers point of view to the Steelseries Ikari Optical Mouse. Steelseries boasts that it might well be the best mouse out there.

The first thing Steelseries did, was make the Sensor measurable by CPI (Counts per inch), and not DPI. Apparently, CPI is a more accurate measurement of Mouse tracking, rather than the accustomed DPI.

The Price of this mouse from V-Street is Rs.4249, (50 Euro on Steelseries.com) and for as low as 50$ on Amazon.

Anyways.. Lets get into it..

Re: Steelseries Ikari Optical Mouse Review

I have played a lot against Ad1 in 1-on-1 maps, and I can vouch for one thing.

He shoots me down almost 100-200% more when hes playing on the Ikari compared to when he is on the Deathadder.

The effect is immediate. I know because I keep dieing.

Re: Steelseries Ikari Optical Mouse Review

Ad1 I think it would be beneficial if you added a screenshot of the how the mouse holds the USB polling rate.

IIRC, on the Deathadder is was all up and down (unstable.)

Lol, Thanks Kido .

Bublez, The Lachesis is designed on the Laser Engine. It doesnt stand a chance when it comes to competing with the Optical Engine of any mouse.

Laser, just isnt good, and just because the Lachesis has an OMG ... 4000DPI, that doesnt make it a great mouse.
Infact, theres the marketing gimmick itself.

Heres a shot of how well the Ikari holds the Mouserate.
