I think HDDs should be inspected and checked before selling, now as the buyer lives far away from the service center he is facing problems...
@NareN, please try calling seagate customer center and find out if they can help you, you won't need invoioce when you ask them for warranty.

Dude what are you saying.. I shipped the invoice along with the HDD? What do you mean you dont have invoice. As posted in the pic I have shipped the invoice along with the drive.. Also if you check online the HDD will show it is still in warranty. Are you using it as an excuse to not go through RMA?

If you need you can ship the drive back to me. I will process through RMA here, check the drive and send it back to you. This is if you find it difficult to process the HDD through RMA as it is far from you.

@ All. Both shipping and usage by buyer is at buyers risk. I have shipped a sealed pack properly packed with bubble wrap through buyers preferred courier as the buyer instructed. I don't even know if the buyer by mistake damaged the HDD. How am i responsible for refund in these circumstances?

wat u saying u didnt send invoice along with HDD
u just send me DTDC baned items letter along with HDD and about ur packing it was very poor .packed in envelope with 1 layer bubble strips.if u get packet in ur hand u can easily feel its HDD
In that letter just describe goods details( computer hard disk Rs:1000 )

but the problem is i need drive urgently now for RMA need more 20-30 days from my site and its difficult more than his site

@NareN, Best of luck dude, but it is surprising to see that the OP ie the seller has not posted once in this thread, it is like he knew that the drive was at fault... ( I am not pointing fingers but just speaking my brain out )

Seems to be a case of DOA, since naren does not have a service center near by the only option left is to tell the seller to get it rma'ed on his behalf...and mutually agree on shipping charges or something

@ Manish, Didn't you see care to see posts #10 and #19 where I have responded?
I see that many people do a impulse reply here with a tendency to always find fault with the seller. Anyways as I have shown in the pics in the original post it is a sealed pack back from RMA. So its highly unlikely the drive is faulty from RMA and definitely not possible for me to know that the drive was faulty beforehand as it is totally unused. Any damage I suspect should have happened during transit or at buyers place.

@NareN,
I have packed the bill along with the drive inside the parcel and I am not sure how you are saying you didn't receive it? I have packed it to best of my effort and this is not the first time I am shipping hard disks.
Anyways the solution here is to claim RMA from seagate if possible. If that's not possible for you you can ship the drive back to me. As a good will gesture I will claim RMA on your behalf and ship it back which of course is going to take more time.

You are making baseless allegations that 1. I am not responding when clearly I am here doing the same 2. I know the drive was faulty when the pack was completely sealed.

You are not helping the situation rather just using your time to make baseless allegations.

You should be happy that I am not penalising you for your useless baseless allegations, you didn't check the drive before sending it and the seller despite having to pay all the money is left high and dry !!!

The drive is DOA, normally we sell a sealed drive to get a good deal, and a sealed pack attracts more buyers.
DOA is a fault of the company.
The seller has agreed to rma on behalf of naren, which is a good option.
In case this is not possible, the drive can be taken back and money payed in full. And new drive can be sold again after rma. The only issue is delay in rma
