I too look forward to get one for Laptop but will need SATA To USB which may be an additional investment. I would appreciate a kind help from Mumbai guys if they can help me out with adapter for few hours of OS transfer.

Chetan, For LAPTOP, additional hardware- SATA to USB adapter/enclosure is required.

Intel 180 GB SSD 6 GBPS Speed Solid State Drive | eBay

The seller has 100% feedback and has sold a lot of ssd's.

want this to be primarily used as a windows drive for faster boots and day to day operations.

Even my laptop's original SSD is showing 99% health after 2 years of rigorous use..
So not an issue..
What you get is purely your luck, some got SSD used for less than 6 months.. The one I got was used about 2.5 years.. But its running fine since I bought it..

Ah ok. Thanks for all the replies . ill go ahead with the basic thumb rule that SSD's are more reliable than regular HDD's .

got the SSD. used EASEUS partition tool to transfer the OS.working flawlessly now. booting under 30 secs now.
