Team Xtreem Dark Series 4GB Ram Kit Review

Introduction

Ever had the feeling that you couldn't get any better than what you just got? For me these feelings generally last for mere days, but this time I am talking months! I feel what I am going to write about, will give you the exact feeling too. Behold, the Team Xtreem Dark series 4GB Kits.
Team Group Inc. rates them at 800Mhz Cl4 @ 2.1V They Use ProMos Chips. But we all know that, these ratings are just for the sake of writing something on the package. The true potential is presented by them when they are doing what they do best, Overclock. I am going to run the rams at different Frequencies with different timings, Helping us to see the best bet for 24x7 clocks and Ofcourse the highest Frequency offered.

Be noticed that I wont be giving the rams more than 2.1V for any benchmark. Yes I am scared of frying my babies. Though people say that the heatspreaders on these are one of the best out there. I really dont want to go through the pain of sending it to Taiwan and waiting for 15 days to receive it back and Team Group Inc. Offers a lifetime warranty on these kits, now that is cool. Enough said, let us go ahead and have the first looks, shall we?

Very nice set of ram and a great review. Only one question, I dont know much about Intel, but is there something like a NB, which can be OC'ed. In case there is, is this OC'ed NB results? Asking because the difference at CL4, 800mhz seems to be very high compared to what I used to get on my setup some time back.

With LGA 775, NB overclocking was locked in a 1:1 ratio with FSB, now with LGA1366, you can independently oc NB........

Are you referring to ...users not being able to change the NB clocks independently.??

Re: Review: Team Xtreem Dark Series 4GB Kits

So that means the NB was Oced to 2X?? taking 200 Mhz to be the default.

Re: Review: Team Xtreem Dark Series 4GB Kits

^^Well yea....see the clocks of the cpu in the screenies..shatter you should keep the cpu speed at same clocks and should have adjusted ratios. that would have given a better idea on memory performance at different speeds. btw default fsb for e7200 is 266 and not 200 iirc.

Erm. Who edited the Pics Yes it looks good on one or 2, But On the rest its a letdown..
Anyways
Yes, I oc'ed the NB too. Thanks for the suggestion Next time I surely will keep the Cpu speed the same and change the Ratios
