Re: A pc for my Sis in 20k

CPU - Intel Pentium G2020 - under 3.5k
Mobo - Asus P8H61- M LX3 - around 3k
RAM - Corsair 2GB DDR3 1333 - 1100
HDD - Seagate 500 GB 7200.12 - 3.3k
KB+Mouse - u can find a bundle for 500-700
PSU - Corsair VS450 450 Watt PSU - 2.4k
Cabinet - get any cheap one for 1k
Monitor - Dell IN 2030M - 6.55k
a little over but the psu is worth it, otherwise u could opt for a cabby + psu combo like from Circle for under 2k and fit in speakers or go for a 19'' monitor

Re: A pc for my Sis in 20k

for psu Op can opt for Antec VP350 priced around ~1.8k, for cpu he can save around 500 by going for celeron dual core and a 18.5" monitor ought to be enough.

well, just cut back on the psu by going for antec one, and by going for Pentium G2010 he can bring it under budget
also, if he rakes some time on Lamington Road, he can get some discount on the above mentioned prices, bringing it in right budget

Samsung DVD-Writer = 1024
Circle Case + Psu = 1600
Circle Keyboard + Mouse =700
Dell 18.5" LED backlit monitor = 5800

Re: A pc for my Sis in 20k

well its recommended by many, so I thinks it'd be good enough, I have LG 2041T 1600 X 900
But I'd like to add though that for around 6100 you can get Dell 2030, 20.5'' and its 1600X900, compared to 1366X768 and 18.5'' of 1930
what say?

---------- Post added at 11:54 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:51 PM ----------

saw this on another thread
3rd Gen PDC G2010= 3.1k
Gigabyte H61M-DS2= 2.7k RAM:
Kingston Value RAM 4GB 1333mhz= 1.8k
will save you some, go for these and add the Dell 2030M

Re: A pc for my Sis in 20k

1930m is a good monitor - I'm using this one and the way 1366 768 res. looks on this is very comforting for the eyes. So this monitor is highly recommended.
