Networking problem

hi
i want to make a network btw my laptop and desktop
i want to use net on my desktop as my laptop is getting connected to this unknown network which is faster then my desktop connection
now i connected them with a crosscable
they get connected but dun share internet i did checked the box under wireless network tab of lappy to share internet ...i gave same range's to both LAN's
i.e
Laptop's wireless ethernet (obtained auto) > 192.168.11.3 255.255.255.0
Latop's default gateway (obtained auto)> 192.168.11.1

Laptop's ethernet > 192.168.0.1 255.255.255.0
Desktop ethernet > 192.168.0.2 255.255.255.0
Desktop gateway > 192.168.0.1

wht m i doing wrong ? can some one help ?
wht shld i do ?

For laptop ethernet.

ip:192.168.0.1
subnet:255.255.255.0
gateway:127.0.0.1

For pc:

ip:192.168.0.2
subnet: 255.255.255.0
gateway: 192.168.0.1

And enable ICS ( Internet Connection Sharing )
