Need Some Suggestion Regarding Already Bought Configuration

Recently I built a system whose specs are the following :
Processor: Intel i5 4670k
Motherboard: MSI Z87-GD65
Ram: Corsair Vengeance 1x8GB DDR3 1600MHZ
HDD: Western Digitial Caviar Green 1TB
PSU: Seasonic S12II 620 bronze 620w
Chassis: NZXT Guardian 921RB

My future planned upgrades are ( Due to budget constraints I didn't buy them at the first place) :
Buy another Corsair Vengeance 1x8GB DDR3 1600MHZ ram so that I can have a dual channel setup.
Buy a graphic card. Most probably Nvidia Geforce GTX 660.

So what I wanted to ask now is that till I don't buy a gpu, is my IGP (Intel HD 4600) sufficient enough to enjoy games like Mafia 2,Assassin's Creed 3,etc ? Do I have to play these games in the lowest settings or I can play them on decent settings ?
And do tell what you think of my specs and my future upgrade plans.

First of all congo for your new rig.Second of all you can play some of the games @ medium settings. But you should go for a GPU soon if you want to enjoy all the latest DX 11 games for which you have built your system. You can easily play mafia 2 and some of the games.
I would suggest you to go for a GPU first and then RAM because your RAM is sufficient for now. When are you willing to buy a GPU?

hehe okz dear do well with your boards,bw lookout for some games like COD,Mafia, fifa, cricket etc which are less GPU demanding those would work good with your specs.

Re: Need Some Suggestion Regarding Already Bought Configuration

congrats on the new build but the HDD is a shame on the rest of the config.

yes the IGP will be enough for gaming on mid-res but what's the point of this question?
you wont upgrade now cause you have 12th exams this year but you will play and thats ok.
If money is not the issue, i would suggest you upgrade now cause by the time you finish your boards there might be newer GPU technology on the horizon which may require a motherboard upgrade causing a domino effect for other upgrades.

Do or do not! There is no try.

are you sure about this ? any source ? Op has Z87 mobo for heaven's sake and AMD is going to release their 8 series gpus for desktop so I think the pci-e interface has enough life remaining.

That's not going to happen. PCIe x16 isn't going anytime soon

@OP - You don't need to upgrade RAM. 8gb is enough

You should upgrade your gpu and then ssd
