My Nook Color, First Impressions, Pics and Review

I wanted to buy an iPhone 4 but ended up buying NOOKColor [Thanks to Apple India]. My requirements were reading ebooks and internet surfing along with loaded OS device, hence I decided to get NOOK Color and I believe, I made the best decision. And it is a sweet gift from sister :)

Lets start :D

Box and Packaging :

NC color comes in white rectangular box with all accessories as mentioned. When you open the box, you find Nook Color [NC] suspended between two styrofoam supports in one side, on the other side a small box containing all accessories. The box is spacious and with all accessories kept at right place. The styrofoam supports also prevent NC from external shock etc. At the openings you can find magnets installed within, so that the box can close tightly.

The box can also be used as stand to hold NC :

The battery life should have been better for e-reader.

I bought it from fellow [E] member Nish_Higer at 14K. In US it costs $250. And including customs and shipping it should cost you around 14-14.5K.

@vijay - thank you and thank you very much editing my review and adding indexes

and Nook Color is US product, they have not launched here in India, hence only in India people are not aware of it, but it is quite famous all over world. Also the sales gotten high when ebay started selling it at just $200.

In fact the Amazon Kindle also becomes heavy after half an hour of holding it.

I would have also gone for a Nook, but for the fact that Archos is bring some pretty good stuff over the coming months. And priced very well too. I need a more serious tablet at the same price.

Hmm, I have used it, but didn't feel it that heavy.

IMO NC has more/good support compared Archos. And did I tell you that I am working on a Nook Guide site

I got one from US, added cynogen mod7 to it, now its a honeycomb tablet for me.. Nice one to have for the money.
