I am having a weird problem, This is my currect rig AMD Phenom II 965 MSI 790GX-g65 4GB corsair Vengeance 1600Mhz 2 x HD 5770 CF My I use 1333Mhz RAM my mobo shows over clocking settings as CPU FSB Frequency 200 (editable) CPU ratio 17 (editable) CPU Frequency 3400 RAM frequency 1333 But when I add 1600Mhz corsair Vengeance it shows CPU FSB Frequency 240 (LOCKED) CPU ratio 17 (editable) CPU Frequency 4080 RAM frequency 1600 off course computer was unable to boot so I had to lower the multiplier to 16 and give some volts to boot it at 3.84Ghz, I can understand the RAM is 1600 so it is changing the FSB frequency to 240 due to the fsb and ram ratio is like 1:33 something, but then why it is locking the FSB frquency? I can also set the FSB:RAM to 1:4 which will make it run at 1600mhz on 200 FSB frequency but I can't cause I can't change the FSB frequency and if I change the FSB:RAM to 1:4 then it makes the RAM run at 1920mhz and comp unable boot, so need HELP!!!  | |||

^^ bios is latest tried re-flashing it, no difference. will try the ctrl + F1 thing in an hour update ctrl + F1 don't do anything Last edited by dash2009; 18-02-12 at 12:35 PM. |

^^ that software is not working with my system as you can see FSB frequency is editable in this picture cause they are using 1333mhz RAM do you think its a BIOS bug and I should report it to MSI? |

^ yes report is asap and they will check for the bios issue ( if possible sent new latest bios version soon) or / if it fail then u can rma for fresh replacement soon  |
