well, that' hell of a job to be paid for. but in india, you won't be paid too well. would be a waste of your qualifications. and there' less headroom to grow.

The US would be a FAR better shot for game testing. People in India still think game-testing is a huge waste of time.

Like rpm said, India isnt the best place and it would be a waste of your qualifications.

FYI. Game Testing is a lot harder than just playing games.

We have 2 Game Testers @ my firm, they get paid 20k a month, but they are also required to generate new idea's for games as well. Along with spending countless hours just running the same crappy Pre-Pre-Pre-Pre-First-Milestone Build of the game, and work out little kinks on their own.

The 2 guys we have, are massively experienced, they've been in the gaming industry for over 5 years now.

So, if your looking for an "easy" job, its not a good idea. Its a full-time+ job, I say + because you are expected to put in more than the usual 8 hours a day. More like 12.

^ so we have the insider view. add to that, a guy looking for a job where he can play a game over can of beer, and get new controllers every week... will be disappointed with this.

Yes, but game-testing can also be a lot of fun. Unforunately, my programming experience sax otherwise I wouldve looked for a game-testing job while in the US.

Plenty of creative gamers come up with ideas for games, and hence mods/maps/etc are made for games ( for those who actually put their mind to it ) Game testing doesnt require dexterity, it requires brains.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

dexterboygenius teh geeK!	Looking for JOBs in Game Testing. Hi folks.. B.Tech finally over here. As d title goes What is the scenario of oppurtunity for Game Testers over here. I actually want to enter into games developemnt itself. So i guess starting out at Game Testing seems naturally right,, to me. I checkd out a few places ,, -- iEnergizer BPO in Noida has a games testing division with clients like EA, THQ, BigFish n UBI etc. dnt pay mch ,,10-11k a mnth n they recruit any one whoose 12th pass.No qualifications reqz. --- also theres Lakshya Digital in Gurgaon which does Game Development work.. they've mentioned Unreal , Cryengine 2 , Gamebryo, Vicious, BigWorld engines. dunno how they hire exactly. also naukri n monsterjobs tell of EA down in Hyd or Banglore .. ?? ,, well EA mobiles does lots of work in india. There ws an opening for iPhone game testing. hav applied online for it im really passionate bout this.. n seems now is the only chance to go for it.. cant grow older wonder ,, If __. so guys ,, open forum here.. plz suggest n contribute with ur w[E][E]sdom cheers n peace.Yo __________________
