Like rpm said, India isnt the best place and it would be a waste of your qualifications. |
Yes truly dat mite be the case. but my means are limited to india only.

Let me state that game dev wuld be first choice,, i talking bout a real career here. srry if the THREAD TITLE ws a little off mark.. "CAREER IN GAMES INDUSTRY" mre like it.
and as i understand dat since i have absolutely no exposure to this kind of WORK, therefore i must start out at the bottom of the ladder.
i still would appreciate all the guidance i can frm anyone as to wht additional skill n expertise would help me in achieveing all this.

We have 2 Game Testers @ my firm, they get paid 20k a month, but they are also required to generate new idea's for games as well. Along with spending countless hours just running the same crappy Pre-Pre-Pre-Pre-First-Milestone Build of the game, and work out little kinks on their own.
The 2 guys we have, are massively experienced, they've been in the gaming industry for over 5 years now.
So, if your looking for an "easy" job, its not a good idea. Its a full-time+ job, I say + because you are expected to put in more than the usual 8 hours a day. More like 12. |
thanks,, dats a pretty realistic description. 8 hrs of wrk i can evn put up in a regular software company,,
12 hrs would actually need dat little extra passion. i can vouch for dat.
Gaming is sumthng i will never quit fr life,, an evr since i remembr i wanted to be a programmer whn i grw up.
im fully capable of being professional bout this an commit to the best of my capabilities.
The scenario of the games industry is not promising in india rite now, but maybe 4 yrs down d line it wuld definetly prosper. an i wnt to there rite in d middle of it.
As of now im only left with high hopes n desire to learn and a gamers optimism.
