now if this priced right ! and launched in India. a perfect htpc there for you , zotac has competition.

that' a good number of usb ports. do you guys think this device could handle six peripherals connected? that is excluding the kb and mouse?

Dell and AMD? This has got to be one of those rare moments. Perhaps they were too burned by that nVidia die debacle to bother with Ion.

You're joking, right? The Mini has a P8600 on the base model. It'll eat this for breakfast and come back for seconds. In fact, compared to the Mini, this is very poor value.

Against Ion, on the other hand, only benches will tell. It's certainly a lot beefier in terms of footprint but I can't recall ever seeing performance benches for these chips. But considering that it's not an embedded chip, the comparison isn't exactly fair. The Atom 330 has an 8W TDP while this has 22W. That's nearly triple the power consumed by the CPU alone.

They aren't sold at retail. The cheapest you might be able to do is get a barebones from some OEM and fill i out according to your specs.

v2 is the one to watch. v3 is too expensive and v1 is a lemon.

The sad part is that v2 is priced against the Mac Mini and loses out almost everywhere.
