I pretty much despise anything that reminds me of the shape of a Nokia 3650 but hey, this is HTC + android which is win. Given the fact that this phone is out there to counter the horde of nokias in that price range, a Qualcomm 528 processor is just fine. Maybe people will now consider this when going for an Xpressmusic 5800 coz this has a resistive screen on it? Any word on which version of android it's on?

Well, atleast it has the Sense UI. Although its spec's are otherwise lackluster.

Wait a min, Resistive touchscreen?.. WTF?...

@Cyn1n, it's on Android 1.6 and 256MB of RAM. What's screwed up is that it has a Resistive Touchscreen, and no hardware keyboard.

The 5800 price has fallen to like 14000 Cyn1c

haha..don't tell you don't know how badly has HTC been criticized as well as praised for hiding WinMo's ugly face with their own Sense UI. They've gone to the extent of changing the calendar!

I'd say these phones are placeholders and nothing more. It's not HTC's flagship product but does have the flavor of Sense UI at a lower budget than the higher end models. So it would sell just fine. It is indeed screwed coz they haven't compensated for the resistive touch with a h/w keyboard. Oh well, let's just hope XM drops to 10 so that people are better off getting the non-masqueraded version of a phone!

Reviews on this phone have it that this resistive touch is quite good and close enough to the capacitive one. You would realize the difference only when you compare it side by side with another capacitive touch
