Re: Help Me in Upgrading After Years !

Hello friend. Your budget is quite low so dont expect any miracle from your pc in gaming.

Proci : G530 - Rs.2200
Board : Any H61 board(buy locally) Rs.2500
Ram : 2gb value ram : Rs.650
Gpu : Gt610 -Rs.2200

That totals to Rs.7500 roughly.
Cant fit a psu in this.
This is my suggestion. But do wait for our experienced members to reply.

Do you have a branded PSU ? If not then leave GPU and first purchase PSU. Since you are stating yourself as newbie then i must clear few things to you. Sometimes Local PSU couldn't supply Ampere required by GPU (Graphics card), and hence PC starts freezing and also there is risk of Mobo or GPU going kaput due to over voltage flow. So don't take the risk and purchase a branded PSU first. PC isn't about impulse purchase. You need to upgrade it piece by piece.
A decent card at your resolution will cost at 4k. Upgrade it after two three months. Till then you can play many games on integrated graphics.

Regards.

Re: Help Me in Upgrading After Years !

The buying advices are pretty much spot on there. I don't think you need a quality PSU if you're not investing in a GPU right now. If you want to upgrade everything, go with incremental upgrades.

Step 1: Upgrade motherboard, processor, RAM.
Step 2: Upgrade GPU, and PSU (must in this phase with GPU).
Step 3: Rest of the parts if required.

Keep in mind that low end graphics cards like GT610/HD6570/HD5570/HD5470 hardly offer substantial performance increases over Intel Sandy Bridge/Ivy Bridge onboard HD2000/3000.

Don't buy Cooler Master PSUs at this range. They are crap. Corsair/Antec/Seasonic/FSP anyday.

AMD is also a processor company, but the budget processors they offer right now won't fit your budget in terms of price/performance ratio. Stick to the Intel Pentium G* part.

Cheers.

yes there is you must upgrade your PSU to atleast 400-450 watts but from a Good Brands Like Corsair, CM, Seasonic.
Iball cannot be trusted for Reliability nor for stability. me and my friends used this earlier and found that components were failing because we were using this cheap thing.
i Suggest you buy things like Suggsted by herecomesmaggi
Processor : Intel G530 @ Rs.2200/-
Mobo : Gigabyte H61M DS1 @ Rs. 2500/-
Ram : Corsair or Gskill 2 GB @ Rs.700 /-
PSU/SMPS : Corsair VS450 watt @ Rs.2200/-

Go for used one if you want but dont go for Cheap things just to save some Greens for time being. it would consume the saved Greens later.

Re: Help Me in Upgrading After Years !

A vip400r psu is enough.. costs rs.700..
Provides 20A.. No need for spending so much on branded psu as the budget is too tight..

Wat?? I have used i3-540@4.2ghz +5670hd on a local 400w psu @14A for 2years.. nothing happened..
My frnd is using c2d + 5670hd on vip 400r for a year now.. nothing happened..
Branded psu for a system with intel G and no graphic card and no plans for future upgrade?? Wastage of money..

And your point is nothing will happen to his rig also. May be, but by chance in future if he upgrades his card say abt after 6 months. For ex. HD 6670 of 6k he will have to upgrade PSU again, may be not for amperage but for safety.
In any case I will never suggest anyone to buy a local PSU even Antec 350w can be brought of 1.2k or Antec 350v2 of 1.4k that too are one of best in my opinion.

he mas mentioned this already so a future GPU upgrade is Lined up looking at his Budget it Doesnt seem like the GPu which is Gonna buy will not Draw much Power. So any antec, Seasonic or Corsair 350-450 watt would serve his purpose.

Re: Help Me in Upgrading After Years !

Alright guys, we don't want any altercations here - while a local PSU is more than enough for the system we're talking about here, the reliability is nuts. I do agree that some people get really lucky with them and sometimes they will withstand a fair bit of pounding and stay frosty, but with most of the cases they go kaput really easily. I had both my local PSUs burnt within a year or so, and in a system of AMD 3200+/1GB DDR3/HD4670 and it scared the sh*t out of me.

Buying a branded PSU might sound like a lot of investment given that OP has a limited budget, but in the long run it's worth it. Nothing beats peace of mind, right?

Anyways, right now you can keep the system running (without GPU) in a local PSU. But when you finally buy that GPU, buy a good branded PSU. They are getting cheaper so you can afford one by the time you get a GPU.

Cheers everyone.

Re: Help Me in Upgrading After Years !

No gpu in the range of 2-3K is worth it considering the current games..
I hope OP gets a good deal here.. Maybe a 5670 or 6670
