Re: Help in Building My Rig

You get a 450w from antec. Good for this kind of rig. Also look at the amd APU line up. May make more sense

You have decided a good setup. Go for CM ELITE 430 and select Gigabyte for mobo brand.

Yeah Setup is gr8 but i would recomend you to up ur gpu to HD6670 DDR5 as its value for money than HD5570 and you will be able to play games @ 720p at medium or high settings... Price is 5.6k for DDR5 sapphire .
In Term of Cabby : If You are not a showboat lover then Antech vsk 2000 at 2k Will do Or Any Cooler master elite series Cabby can also handle....

Re: Help in Building My Rig

But will i3-3220 work with Gigabyte H61-D2H-USB3 ? I mean it will bottleneck or what ?
And my budget is 22k so i cant afford a HD6670 DDR5 , but i can afford a HD6670 DDR3 coz it cost 4.2k will there be a performance difference between the m?

Re: Help in Building My Rig

1. Seasonic is best but seasonic eco is not best. Avoid the ECO model.
I was thinking to suggest this, Seasonic S12II 430 Watts PSU - Seasonic: Flipkart.com

But it has 2 x 12 V rails. Am not sure if that would become complex instead of a single rail for someone who does not know much ?. Let the PSU gurus answer this.
Any comments @mav2000, @Chinrox, @herecomesmaggi ?.

2. Avoid Digilite.

3. That motherboard will be fine, no bottleneck issues.

4. Dont go for a single ram stick. Go for 2 x 2 Gb value ram. Will cost 200 bucks more but a dual channel config is much better than a single channel.
Means buy 2 sticks of 2 Gb.

5. Cabinet go for NZXT gamma or any cabinet with decent ventilation you wish. This is not a heavy duty system. But cooling is imp.

6. What are you going to upgrade to ?. Have any components already in mind ?. Will help us decide any changes in your system.

Nah thats not complex at all ... PSU has a single 12v rail that has split. I prefer Split Rails.(But they really has none +point other then safety ). Mostly branded PSU above 800W actually have two 12v, others they are just split of single rail. For a Solid branded psu I recommend +34A on single rail x 2 (Minimum). but low budget cards and psu do fine on +30A also.

Alot performance diffrence arround 1.5x due to Better texel transfer mate.

No Bottleneck mate...

HD6670 is best bang of buck at gaming entry level .... if constrained by budget then wait for a month. Use on board graphics, Upgrade after one month ... just a suggestion

+1 to this mate ! It is a good entry-level gpu which will be bang for buck also please buy MSI one coz it has dual fans so no issue for cooling.

Thanks for clearing it out.
But this link shows 17 A on a single 12 V link ?.
Did you mean combined 34 A or individually ?.

Solid Branded PSU Means Above 800W mate. That was meant for Sli.
Even Power hungry GTX 560ti (Evga) requires 30A on Rail. If you are worried about Ampereage on Rails.
In easy words,if in doubt, just check Ampereage and wattage requirements of card and output of Psu.

Re: Help in Building My Rig

Edit : Put your two ram stick in alternate positions.
Means if your motherboard has 4 slots, put one in 1st and 3rd or 2nd and 4th.
Dont put one in 1st and one in second. You wont get dual channel advantage.

If it has two slots only like in this motherboard which you shortlisted Gigabyte GA-H61M-DS2 Motherboard - Gigabyte: Flipkart.com
put in 1st and 2nd because it is dual channel.

And sorry, I just noticed this. There is a small bottleneck buddy. How much slower it will be, I tried to look around a lot but could not find something big.
In games drop 2-3 fps, losses some seconds or less than a second, in compression and editing stuff depending on applications.
Ivy Bridge Memory Scaling : Intel Core i7-3770K Review: A Small Step Up For Ivy Bridge

The next mobo which supports 1600 is this,
Gigabyte GA-B75M-D3H Motherboard - Gigabyte: Flipkart.com

Now you decide if it is worth a thousand bucks more.
Again I ll tag @herecomesmaggi , sorry if am tagging a lot.

I got no worries , but have to be aware before recommending something to someone.
I got your point, but what I did not understand is you meant 34 A on a single individual rail,
like if there are 2 rails, both having 34 A or 34 A split between two rails.

Is it that if the card needs 30 A and we have 2 rails giving out 17 A , we have to attach both of them in the card ?.
Am fainting
