Thanks for the suggestion. I admit it that it will be gaming pc but actually I play 4-5 titles/year.

Btw I said earlier that I would overclock in future. Thats why I have choosen K series cpu. I alreay used i5 2500k @4.8Ghz (stable 7hr/day) with H80 cooler last year.

Re: Haswell Build in 100k [Suggestions Needed]

Go for K series. Also, invest a decent chunk of that 100k on GPU + SSD. Put all your games in the SSD. The loading performance and the sheer freedom a fast GPU gives you is totally worth the extra 10k to pull it off.

Re: Haswell Build in 100k [Suggestions Needed]

Why on earth people are comparing HD7970 with GTX770.
HD7970 is a lot behind GTX770 and costs 28k here in India.

For 31.5k he can get a GTX770 [Asus DCII OC model], which is not only faster than HD7970, but also the HD7970 GE, which costs the same at 31k

http://img.hexus.net/v2/graphics_car...059/Crysis.png

http://img.hexus.net/v2/graphics_car...X77059/FC3.png

The HD7970 GE is a great card, but an OCed GTX770 even beats it out with 10 fps more in almost all of the games.

If you don't care about the "free" games, and want more % performance, take GTX770.
Otherwise HD7970 GE.

How does more vram allows you to do that and not less vram? Also even after 3GB vram in 7970 it performs similar to gtx 770. I think more then 2 GB would be only useful if you are gaming at 1440p resolutions.

@ALL
IT seems this thread is going nvidia vs AMD way, and i never wanted that. My whole point to suggest gtx 770 was to suggest some other alternatives to 7970. And everybody is saying 7970 is much faster then gtx 770 when overclocked, well i haven't scene any such benchmarks which suggest that. Please provide some links where i can see that. Also getting 3-4 fps extra at the expense of heating and high power consumption is not worth it in my opinion.

Re: Haswell Build in 100k [Suggestions Needed]

May I suggest something? Instead of buying everything at once, buy it in parts.

I mean, buy the main components first. CPU, Motherboard, GPU, RAM, SSD, HDD and PSU.

Now check how much cash you have left. Decide on the cabinet and other peripherals then.

well paying 5k extra just to have 2-3 fps more would not be a good decision ..at current price point i.e @ 26-27 k mark 7970 is the king ...it overclocks well and well is the best bang for buck!

If you can find one at that price point then it is definitely a better option, although i can't find one at that price.

I not only read reviews but I test them myself. In my experience a 7970 can easily do 1100-1200 Mhz on stock fan (I have tested 4 7970's). And the reviews I have read about the 770 all state that they cannot overclock. I myself do not concern myself with the few watts of power difference. Ofcourse in these suggestion threads all we can give is our informed opinion its on the buyer himself to decide what he prefers.

Now I am not even going to reply to a troll like 'realandR3cys'.

Is it so?

http://img.hexus.net/v2/graphics_cards/nvidia/GTX77059/Crysis.png

Crysis 3

GTX770- 48.7fps
HD7970- 41.2fps

I don't see 2-3 fps more. Maybe my eyes are betraying me.

When you SLI or Crossfire vRAM doesn't get double, it stays the same as a single card and I cannot believe 2GB is enough to backup the horse power of 2x770. For a single card 2GB might be enough.
