Guaranteed 53X/54X Working Multiplier 2700K/2600K/2500K - Free Tandoori Chicken

So I was doing this for a forum member who requested a guaranteed working multiplier chip and thought of extending it to other members as well.

As interested people might already know, even with the best of cooling, with Sandybridge K Processors, one can get a chip which will have a wall at a specific Multiplier/Mhz and no amount of cooling or Voltage can overcome that wall. So here is a chance to ensure that you do not become unlucky and get a chip which does not have a low multi wall.

I would guarantee 52X/53X chip for a very small extra fees of Rs. 200 (this is not for Profit or anything but can be considered as Petrol Charges to visit the market). I would be going only on Saturdays to Nehru Place, so bill would be from SMC and of the weekend when you send the money. You will have full Retail warranty on the chip.

Higher Multiplier is possible as well but for that we will have to take the discussion on PM.

Sandybridge i7 2700K - Rs. 19000 Shipped - Updated Prices

I so hope that I was able to jump in on this Intel bandwagon..
But, not for now. btw, what is the lowest multi chip that you encountered ? just as a reference.

48X Manish. Only 1 I guess though cant confirm since basically I try to look out for the Max Multi, once the chip doesnt even pass 52X, I dont even try lower.

And so while doing all of this Banik hopes to find a "Golden" chip which will beat all the others?
And thus the secret of the venture is revealed!

Nah, JKing, you are doing a great work here Banik, keep it up!

See I can test and ship only on Weekends, so if the money arrives before Friday, then it can be shipped the same Sat/Sun. If you want the bill in your name, that is possible too.

Well banikbhai, I hope this is a perpetual and continuous thread. You have one ready to buy here. But only after at least another month. Once my exams are done with and back to work(hence savings ) , i will need one chip too.(desperately need one)
Btw, which cooler will you be using to test these chips?

Re: Guaranted 50X - 52X Working Multiplier 2600K/2500K

Hi,

Methinks the 2500K is an i5 and not an i7. Interesting offer though.

I have been thinking recently of building an i7 2600k pc. I do not intend to use the desktop for high end gaming but only low to medium (nfs, crysis) as my xbox 360 serves that purpose; just wanted one to be ahead of the upgrade cycle for at least 3 years which I am sure the i7 wud be (read that as not sure; as Intel has done 3 socket changes in 3 years; maybe the sandy bridge thingy will bring in new processors soon other than this one). I do not want to use a graphics card; so need inputs on which mobo to use; P67 or H67 chipset based. I think the P67 does not have integrated graphics. I was looking at the Gigabyte H67MA-UD2H; any suggestions....cheers

I used H70, its easier to hook and remove, hence the choice otherwise cooling wise its not great as compared to other top tier Air Coolers. No hurry here, so take your time.

Yup, you are right, 2500K is i5. Remember with H67 you wont be able to overclock the CPU, so its better that you buy something like i3 2000 or if you want the best then i7 2600 (not the K)

Re: Guaranted 50X - 52X Working Multiplier 2600K/2500K

Hi,

The i3 2120 has only 2 cores and 3 Mb cache and the socket is FCLGA1155, as against just LGA1155 for the i5 and i7 (not sure what the difference is in terms of socket). What are ur views on the i5 2500, where the difference with the i7 is that it has a 6Mb cache against 8Mb and it does not have HT.
I guess the i7 is an overkill for what I need now or in the future....cheers

its the same socket, you can run i3 2100 and 2120(I dont think its freely available in India yet) on the same H67/P67 motherboard. HT does improve performance in multicore supported application, though for gaming there havent been many multi-core games for the last 5 years I would say. But the efficiency of SB is great, and CPU would not be a bottleneck for next few years atleast for a 4 core CPU like the i5 2500. Though let me tell you if you are planning to play games like Crysis even on low resolution, with the Integrated graphics then you would be disappointed.

Thats what I was wondering about. The H70 backplate comes with an adhesive sticker. I was wondering, is it possible to leave it on and just screw that back plate onto it... then go on to complete the H70 install. that way Ican remvoe and reattach the H70 whenever I want right?
hopefully by the time my system is ready the already released H60 will make its way here
