Graphic Card in 5k ?

Well my friend is buying a gpu for the first time and needs a graphic card in 5k .. he will play on a 17" monitor but will play all latest games to whatever detail the card can handle ... please suggest the best card in 5k ?

If you want to play games in DX11 you need to spend more! lol.

tell him to go for a good 4850, second hand 4870 or anything else.. DX11 in 5k would be tough..
