It is surely gonna be that. everyone is aiming for the premium hatch segment... Makes you wonder that was GM foresighted or foolish with the SR-V.

The fusion was a good car.. but priced incorrectly when launched, and needed a diesel from the start instead of the petrol. By the time the Fusion + came out, everything was right, except for the car's image. Its a great mini SUV, and i stand by it.

This seems like a wise move, going in for the volumes, at the same time keeping the luxury and the bells and whistles going. I hope it sells well.

Did you know! the European Ford Fiesta hatch(the one that looks amazing and all) will launch in India @ ~2013-14!!!

You can see several of those SRVs around DND-Noida! (especially around Adobe building)

Its a nicely built car IMO!
but if only they had advertised it more and given it a better engine and a better gearbox, it could've been selling like hot cakes!

I beg to differ. The engine and gearbox were passable. The car handled like a mattress on wheels, though.

Not too promising especially when they advertised it as a vehicle for racing to the grocery with.
