Firefox Spell check

i have updated the firefox to 3.5.3 , but now i cant get the spell check while i type, tried to enable it using following tutorial

Try right clicking on any typable field in firefox. Do you see an option of "Add dictionaries...."? If yes,then click on it. You will be guided to a page with language options. Add the English one. Restart Firefox. Check now if it works or not.
Also make sure that under the ADVANCED settings of OPTIONS,the "Check spelling as I type" is checked.

actually on my fedora box, it does not point to correct spelling, i have selected the right dictionary, donno where is the problem.
