Firefox causes increase in rpm of processor fan

I have recently updated to win 10
Have 8gb ddr3 ram
I5 2nd gen
Dg55tc board
Simple system nothing fancy really

I had clean installed win 10 and since then whenever i am using Firefox and there are a couple of tabs open the processor fan starts to run faster and makes noise { not unusual noise, just simple high rpm noise}

Have reinstalled Firefox a couple of times clean installed as well..

Any ideas how to make things run cool and quiet

I don't use any other app on my pc apart from the browser, win rar, and idm,

Have 1tb wd hdd 3 partitions and nearly 65percent media files in hdd

Kindly advise
Thanks

Firefox is a heavy application so it is obvious that your CPU fan will start running at high rpm due to load on CPU. If that's really irritating you, you can adjust the fan speed according to your need by tweaking in bios or there are some other softwares. But you need to properly check the system temps after tweaking the fan rpm. Since your system is quite old maybe the dust could also be the factor or try changing the thermal paste. Hope this will help

Why dont you try to use other browser, As Firfox is really an heavy software, Specially becuase of all inbuilt add on of different software. Tweaking your Bios can be a bad idea if you are not pro in that. and if i am not wrong, its a laptop. so please avaoid using it on your lap or bed/couch when the fan is on high RPM.

I think you are using stock CPU cooler. Try to adjust fan speed in BIOS or use a software like Speedfan. If it doesn't help i suggest you to get a better fan cooler as the stock Intel cooler is pretty ordinary.
