Hey sushant, in imgburn options tick perform opc before burning and enable burn proof, rest of the settings at defaults. Burn at a slow speed (4X), try minimizing fragmentation of your hard disk data.
Errors with burning crappy MBI media are a way of life.

I tried that website, it says the firmware is latest. I dont think I can do anything else.

Lemme know if there are things like Custom Firmware for this one too. I'd gladly upgrade. Dont bother about the warranty. Its already a year old RW.

Will check those options. Thanks for the info. Waise I prefer NERO since I am used to it. The only two DVDs I tried burning using IMGBURN were doomed

Can you tell me a way to identify crappy media ? Actually those Peral White Verbatims also failed on my sister's vaio
Those DVDs look seemless on the face of it. Something must be wrong with my stars. Nothing seems to be working right

No man, seriouly what should I do ? I wrote some DVDs and when I try opening them, my PC restarts. Is it something bad with the DVD RW or the writing ? Other DVDs work perfect. Just some of them budge to act easy

u can burn otehre dvds perfect? or u can read them perfect. another reason can be kaput ram

I tried MEMTEST for the ram, even the exhaustive check. Nothing came out

I don't have any problem with the Pearl White ones burnt with 203B and ImgBurn.

LOL thats the issue. The verbs are already proven one of the best media, the DVD RW seems to be working fine (at least in reading), the softwares being used (nero and imgburn) are great.....still the DVDs are failing

Try Ashampoo if you want multisession burns. Imgburn FTW.
Also, try posting a screenie of the Graph data from ImgBurn
(%appdata%\ImgBurn\Graph Data Files\) to see where your drive is choking.
It can be driver issue. What all storage controllers do you have installed?
If you have installed virtual drives, and have some decryption thingy running, maybe it may cause conflicts..?

I have daemon tools installed on my machine. Other than that, I am not sure about the drivers you are particualry pointing at. Please elaborate (storage controllers).
