Smile Dial4Light-energy saving system.

Bookmark and Share

Street lights are probably one of the biggest energy waster. To avoid this a new tech named is Dial4Light is invented.

This is a system that allows the user to turn on street lights with their mobile phone. Once they have dialed up to turn the light on, the light will automatically go off after about 15 minutes.

This is invented in Germany. The German towns that have tried this system have already seen a twenty-five percent drop in their electric bill, which is enough to justify implementing a Dial4Light system like this in every town.

But the system is not clear about how will the user know what number to dial to turn on the lights? and such other issues like that...

Erm, public announcements? Billboards?
Great initiative! We need to have something like this in Delhi where they LEAVE THE LIGHTS ON DURING THE DAY!

Re: Dial4Light-energy saving system.

just have a giant magnetic frame at the ends of a road. if a vehicle crosses, the lights come on.

the frame can be of the kind that is used for a height barrier for trucks.

or maybe a motion sensor at the ends of a road. cheaper. saves all the extra calls! lol

Re: Dial4Light-energy saving system.

^^We need to make this like a corporate, yaar, we need more people in it, with more money in it...

Seriously, if we have real money, right? We can actually make certain changes in the infrastructure...

Take for example the Metro Rail Phase 2 in Mumbai....the Citizens have actually proposed an alternative to the MMRDA with the help of just an architect and an engineer!!!
