Conclusion and Verdict

Conclusion and Verdict

Corsair K90 :
The K90 is definitely a Keyboard which should satisfy even the most ardent gamer and people who type a lot. Its palm rest is pretty comfortable to use, and the Cherry MX Red keys do weave a magic, though we must warn that if you are looking for Key stroke sound like TVS-E Gold then you will be disappointed, this is a gaming keyboard at its heart, and does not give out any loud audible noise which will disturb anyone besides you in the room which for us is a boon. Though while typing it certainly gives a distinct feeling of the keystrokes making it feel just perfect. We liked the brushed aluminium looks which gives a distinct industrial feel to the keyboard and the 18 macro keys complete the package. Though at an MRP of Rs. 6500 it definitely is not a cheap keyboard but looking at the competition we cannot really complain. Another point to note is that there is definitely a learning curve on the keyboard since we were not satisified with the layout from day first. But given time we got accustomed to the keyboard and must pronounce that its definitely a keyboard which we will suggest for buyers looking for Mechanical Keyboards not only for gaming but typing too. But all the cool features of this keyboard do reflect in the pricing too, At Rs. 6500 its definitely not cheap but on par with other mechanical keyboards from Corsair's competitor.

Corsair M90 : The M90 did attract us a lot with its features and we were looking forward to test the mouse for a long time. But its stiff 4th/5th buttons alongwith the macro buttons left us unsatisfied. Its a global issue but it seems many have adjusted their gameplay according to the mouse. With its 15 buttons, great looks, 48kb of onboard memory and on the fly DPI adjustment the mouse is not short of features if one can ignore the stiff buttons and somewhat unpolished software. Though we are pretty sure Corsair will come out with a proper working software however we are unable to look past the buttons issue which will certainly affect the below ratings. We have already provided our feedback to Corsair and hopefully they will look into it sooner than later. Though at a price of Rs. 3200 the mouse certainly provides ample amount of features which will not disappoint users who can adjust their gaming style.

Corsair M60 : With removable weights, great tracking, ideal weight, grip and 8 buttons, Corsair Vengeance M60 is definitely a mouse which we would recommend to anyone looking for a gaming mouse for FPS. With its metal chassis if some one is looking for a stylish mouse then it does not lag behind in that department as well. It will be launched in the Indian subcontinent at a price of Rs. 2650 which is another positive factor going for the mouse. Overall we were very pleased with the price and performance of the mouse and gamers looking for Value for money should not look any further. We would have liked to rate it a full 5 but the unpolished nature of the software is forcing us to deduct one point.

After testing 3 of the 4 gaming peripherals launched by Corsair in the Vengeance series, we must say that Corsair has entered the segment with a bang, which should only get better in the coming years. Though there are still areas of improvement which we hope would be looked into by Corsair sooner than later.

Is it true that not all the keys of the K90 are mechanical?

Yup very true, but that does not mar the experience at all. Since the non-mechanical keys are the Macro Keys and the function keys, which are not used for typing, so I never felt the missing mechanical switches.

Also one thing to note is that, on Erodov we still do not have 1/2 Pt Ratings, otherwise the Original rating I wanted was, 3 1/2 for M90, 4 for K90 and 4 1/2 for M60

You understand RAT9 is a lot customizable as regards to its length and width??? And many things else.

M60 is pretty comfortable but that is always an individual thing honestly. As for M90 with its too stiff buttons I find it useless because it takes away your focus from the game to press those damn buttons. Maybe a few weeks of continuous usage would have reduced the stiffness (which does not seem to be the case from user feedback) but otherwise thats also a capable mouse as far as tracking and feel is concerned.

@thebanik : Just wanted to clear something up, the M60 is in no way a lesser model to the M90, the numbers are there for ID purposes only.
"... like the M90, its little brother M60 also ...."
It is clear even in your review that the M60 is targeted at FPS/RTS players while the M90 is for MMOs though some people use the extra buttons just as well for FPS games.

Mentioning this since another reviewer of the same product had comments pointing out this fact.

Also, could you add a picture of the corsair mice alongside mice from SS and Razor? It helps the reader gauge their size which can be helpful while looking for a new mouse.

When a company launches two products with naming denominator lower than the other, though the company would never say little brother or anything like that but its pretty natural to name it such by a reviewer, Though they have distinct features but features like onboard memory is missing from M60 and is definitely cheaper than M90.

As for picture, the products are packed and ready to be picked up, but will try and take a few pictures with the mouses I have......
