Re: Core I5 2500K CPU Gets Too Hot Without OC and Normal Usage

do consider changing the cabinet to atleast to something like NZXT gamma. You have to buy online cause i heard it's not available in Delhi.

Guys problem is now coming again.
I have changed my processor, now using Core i3 3220

Normal temp is 44-49C
and Under load, while playing Crysis its 65-70C (still increasing after that)

Now definately going for Hyper TX3 Evo !!

Crysis 3 and battlefield 3 will heat up the CPU to quite an extent. I've touched temps of 61 on prolonged play with an i7 2600k being cooled by Arctic silver 5 and a corsair h60. Processor not over clocked. A lot of this also depends on the ambient temps in ur room and case, ventilation etc

In any event u should get the tx3 as its a good cooler

@op - pay 800-1000 bucks more to get a cooler with bolt mounting mechanism such as hyper 212 evo.

I would have gone for it, but it won't fit in my cabby.
So TX3 Evo only choice.

I am using iBall i2241 Cabinet, its 6.8" in width. It can easily place Hyper TX3 evo.

AFAIK the fan of hyper tx3 evo is a 92mm one which is pricey and tough to find.
