Cooler Master Storm Spawn Review

Introduction

Reviewing gaming peripherals is one of the most difficult job for a reviewer because a reviewer should always be objective but with peripherals like mice and mouse pads, its more subjective and everyone is different and it's hard to find two people that will totally agree on any one mouse. This is because we all have our own grip and feel for how we want to game with. The size of our hand, the comfort of holding the mouse under our fingers and the feel of overall product quality is all part of the factors which helps us in selecting the right mouse. Talking about size and grip, the product in highlight today - the Cooler Master Storm Spawn targets and caters to a niche segment, which is inclusive of people who use claw-grip for gaming. But how well it really caters to the claw-grip gamers, will be found out in the upcoming pages since even this reviewer is a claw-grip gamer.

Cooler Master's entrance into the gaming peripherals market with their Storm line has been a pretty good one, so far consisting of mice, mouse pads and cabinets. We reviewed their top of the line Sentinel Advanced here and are in the process of reviewing Inferno. Both of them are pretty good and can easily give serious competition to any mouse from the more evolved gaming brands like Razer and SteelSeries.

This is what Cooler Master has to say about the Spawn -

The Spawn gaming mouse is lightweight, ergonomically designed and forged with a reassuringly solid design. It is built for professional FPS gamers that prefer a claw grip.

Engineered to execute precise in-game tactics, the Spawn comes loaded with an ultra high-performance 3500 DPI sensor that includes on-the-fly adjustment, an ultra-step wheel encoder providing extremely accurate scrolling, and Japanese-made Omron micro-switches that are meant to endure up to five million clicks.

Presented in an eye-catching crimson red high-gloss finish, the Spawn compliments a gamer's setup by adding a truly breathtaking peripheral. Take part in the Spawn experience and pick one up today.

Seems to have great features for the price. However I personally prefer larger mice.

Even I have never used smaller mouses, diamondback is the smallest mouse that I have used if I remember right, but grip is more of a personal preference, and as I repeated many a times in the review, atleast a claw grip gamer would not/should not face any issues at all as far as size and comfort is concerned.
