Best is to get live experience, spend a day with a consultant psychologist as What's his daily routine like. In fact spending week with different consultants is a better idea. It's routinely practiced in USA before opting for certain career choices. There's a lot of difference when you actually have a hands on experience. You'll be in a better position to decide for yourself and guide others too.
Earning and opportunities both nationally and internationally are very rewarding at the moment, rest assured on that account.
Since counseling is the major mode of treatment, as you wouldn't be prescribing medications, some computer program or Robotic device jeopardizing your earnings needs to be carefully evaluated. I sincerely doubt such a thing in very near future. Even then psychological research is a never ending opportunity.
With people spending more time on Whatsapp, FB rather than actually conversing with each other & companies investing in psychological counseling for their professionals ; there's never going to be a dearth of opportunities for a good psychologist. | Well whatever you told is reassuring. I will certainly try to get a live experience. Let me get in touch with some psychologists. As for the patience and the aptitude, i can listen to people all day long without any problems. It's just that i like helping people with emotional problems and things like that so it will be a job for me that i love.
