Cooler Master 690 ( Transparent 1 ) is what i intent to buy....

My future conf would be -

xfx 650i Ultra ( already havin )
Core2duo OC ( already havin )
gtx 280 or 285
corsair 750 watt
sun beam core contact freezer.
G Skill 2 x 2048 800 mhz


So shud i go for 690 also......does it really make any difference.....

Me getting it for 4460 tax paid....

shud i buy it or could this money be used somewhere else....

and also....some good deal from any other place if available then lemme knw....

Do you already have the board?? I had 650i Ultra and a P5NE SLI based on the same chipset. Both were rubbish at OC'ing. If you haven't bought it yet, I'm sure the people here would suggest something better like one of the Gigabyte G31's or some P43/45 board.

how much is the 650i for??? and are u willing to spend a little more on the mobo...

i already hv xfx 650i ultra.....but wingzero told me tht i can oc it without much hassle....n it ll run smooth....!

I guess it was just horrible luck with my two 650i's i had one where the RAM slots stopped working after about 15 minutes of usage. RMA'd it. The second one decided it was a smoke machine ..... burnt away at two spots. No RMA for burns T_T. They call me once a week to pick the board up...it's been a good 10 months or so

Where are you getting the 690 from @ 4460? It costed me 3800.

Its not very important, just that it has ample cooling and is highly moddable. Only cabinet that matches it is the Antec 300 Rs. 3400 approx. Except your mobo all other components are high end so why not a good cabinet to compliment whole PC?
