Bob.Bazooka Having probs with beetel bx 220...

Bob is using this adsl2+ modem with his bsnl connection. Since morning he has not been able to get on the net due to some strange reason.

Like the title says...

He is not able to ping to the modem (192.168.1.1) nor can he access the modem setting screen via browser (http://192.168.1.1). All four led indicators are on (none of them are blinking). I was stumped. I thought that there could be a problem with his n/w card or the rj45 connector or the modem itself.

Help the guy out if you have some solutions for this.

try calling Airtel. They should replace the modem (they replaced mine)

er.. he is useing it with bsnl connection? Airtel would not help.
i hope he has tried reseting the modem, taking out power cable for 10 secs, restarting pc etc?
if thats all ok... then reinstall network drivers. If that doesn,t help either then it is possible that
the modem's adapter has died.. yes that happens... and the modem still runs but wont work. happened
with me once.

Hmm I would suggest to manually reset the modem ,.

PS: I also feel it might be due the technical problem( undersea cable being kaput) . even i could not access my internet in my place

^^ +1, try resetting with a pin the back, there is a reset hole. i faced same issue, first it came up after reset, but after a week died completely. replacement needed. Other option is to try and use someone else modem on the pc to make sure its not a PC issue.

it can never be a PC issue.These modems are so damn low quality,none worked more than 4 months for me,replace the fker.

Try changing the DNS settings to open DNS.

the modem is KHATAM,220 bx sux,mine went kaput in 4 months with d same problem,airtel replaced it though

He got a new Tataindicom connection... so no more worries i guess
