This indeed cracked me up.
Not that the Snapdragon 400 is 2 gen old, but there isn't any app in the BB App world that would utilize that Krait 300

So a failed Playbook wouldn't matter that much.
Sad.
Not because how wrong he is.
But the irony in his words.
It's like that old grapes and fox story.
Playbook wasn't successful, so their general thought: tablets are a failure.

I smiled upon the words, "Blackberry to be the absolute leader in mobile computing" - yeah, right.
It was not many days ago Heins said this, and now we are seeing that with BB going on sale..

Thanks Vijay for sharing that awesome article

Re: BlackBerry May Soon Be Bankrupt

This was bound to happen, The bankruptcy of Blackberry I mean.
All this was seen by many of us some years back when Android started gaining ground and had good chat and messaging systems in its app store.
Also the enterprises have shied away from them coz now the companies don;t want to pay so much in prices for their usages.

Just think about the Blackberry internet plans and their pricing.

Re: BlackBerry May Soon Be Bankrupt

This is a classic case of putting cart before the horse.
It is innovation, design and engineering which puts a company on map.

When suddenly, sales gimmick starts taking charge of the operations and strategy, expect things to deteriorate with no new innovation.
This is the price Blackberry is paying.

OT but a similar example, I work for a startup in Telecom and we can see same with big companies. Companies like Alcatel Lucent and Cisco take years to push out a truly ground shattering product, while we just a bunch of engineers did that in ~1.3 years, which perhaps these behemoths would have take 4-5 years to complete, despite gazillion of engineers.

Every company ceases to command respect the moment passion and commitment is thrown out of window in favor of processes and senseless orders.

Sometimes, chaos is what a company needs to succeed.

Sad.

Maybe BlackBerry should start blackmailing other corporations for not leaking their dirty secrets. This will at least give the National Security Agency of the USA some competition!

Never trust an Hyderabadi to finish a deal. - BlackBerry shares tumble 6% on doubts over Fairfax deal
"Chances of the deal going through appear grimmer at most," Bernstein Research analyst Pierre Ferragu said in a note to clients.

Re: BlackBerry May Soon Be Bankrupt

Obviously it will be bought when the prices are low, other share holders will pull out fearing further loss, then fairfax will take over.
