I think Nvidia knows very well that Ati's new series will beat them in ever sector...
thats why they are trying to pay the game developers so that the game performs better with their cards...lol
and i dont think the actual gamers are soo dumb to fall for these... Nvidia is good at software architecture but isn't powerful at the hardware...Ati just need to release something to beat the phyx thing and they'll be again at the top...

What makes you say so?
Nvidia is predominantly a hardware company and is powerful at hardware.
It has the capability to give ATI competition, so let us not underestimate Nvidia for the moment. because if Nvidia looses badly we customers will have to pay for weak competition.

Remember healthy competition = consumer win.

The Green Team is trying all sorts of tactics to to smother the competition but nothing will work considering the GPU crown belongs to ATI at least for now. All these attempts show how desperate the nV is. Seems like nV hasn’t learnt from EU’s Intel fine. This is an unfair mean. C’mon nV. Fight like a warrior. Not like a mercenary.

So the game starts to lag like hell once the physx patch is applied... it's no fun playing it like that. I had to reduce AA to 2x.

Would it be possible to upgrade to a 5870 later and use my current 9800GT as a dedicated physx card?

Though Nvidia's newest drivers dont allow it, but there are already hacked drivers out which will allow you to do that
