Icon8 Bad RMA Service Of Kaizen Infoserve Kolkata of Corsair VX450W


My 4 years old Corsair VX450W went kaput so I submitter it at 16th December at Kaizen Kolkata.
(NOTE: Kaizen Kolkata don't take any Corsair item without original bill)
I called 3 timed in past 20 days but RMA process still under service.
Today,7th January 2015 I called Kaizen,Kolkata and got reply that replacement come.
Now the worst part.
When I reach the service center I was shocked to that the replacement was VS450.
I did not accept that.
Corsair become so cheap that they replace 4K PSU with 2K PSU.
I'm going mail them.
Lets see...

Nothing new, most of the Kolkata service centers are like that. Even I had a bad time with Kaizen Kolkata, sometimes replacement took as much as 2months. Twice I have received DOA sealed stuff. Next time, I will try to courier the Bangalore dept. directly.

But,after 20 days what got ?
VS450 as a replacement of VX450 ?
Is this a joke from Corsair ?

Guys please help me!
What should I do now ?
I did not accept the VS450.
I also called toll free corsair no 18004255464 but they failed to help me.
Mailed at indiaservice@corsair.com but still no reply.
My 2014 ended with bad and 2015 also start with bad...

Have they talkeked with you over phone? If yes then what was the statements?
They are also lazy in replying email. I have good and bad both type of experience with them. Just remember instead of forcing Kolkata centre you should force them on that toll free number and provide them enough resourcess though mail like bill scan copy and rma slip which mentioned date of submit. They will reply to you .. but it takes time...post your updates here....

Dear Valued Customer,

VX450 is EOL (End of Line) and according to RMA policy, we will provide a product with similar function and capacity.
Replacement is not measured by price but capacity and hence VS450 is offered as Replacement.

We do apologize for the delay but the RMA process takes time. We would request you to accept the Corsair VS450 PSU as a replacement as it has been tested by tech professionals to be a justified replacement for the VX450.

I am not so sure about that. VX450 was based on an old Seasonic design whereas the VS450 is made by CWT.

So if a customer is not happy with the product replacement he is getting, he is eligible for a credit note, right?

Also, going by the same logic, what is the justified replacement for a HX750W? I am worried because I just submitted my PSU to Kaizen Kolkata last week.

@Saibal How do you decide which is a justified replacement? Capacity of a power supply doesn't say quality of it. Some people are getting TX series and some are getting VS, where is the justice in this?

U mean worst wishes ?
Corsair giving me lower tier VS450 as replacement of my VX450W.
U giving a product of less than half market price.
Corsair should give me at least RM450 not less than that.
U thing we all Indian customers are all fools ?
My GPU don't support crappy VS450 but it will run on VX450.

U r talking about capacity.
So just give me 450W PSU of RM series.
Both VX450 and RM450 are of same capacity.

I think they are going by the 'value' logic. VX series used to be their value line of PSUs, and now VS line is their value line.

But the component quality used in the value line has degraded substantially over a couple of iterations, and the VS series is quite inferior to the VX series in terms of design, internal components, and therefore performance should suffer in long term.

It's hard to get a RM450 from them by that logic since the RM is 80+ Gold certified. But nevertheless, they should give a PSU which is equal in quality, NOT in wattage. VX450 was 80+ certified, but VS450 is not.

I did not have problem with them i got rm series instead of tx series. Even if i would have got tx 650m as a replacement i would be happy but not less than that. Lets see over here.
