Asus P5N32 E SLI + Intel C2D E6600 - No Post After BIOS Screen + Long Beep

Hi All,

I'm in big trouble for the past few weeks now. My desktop wont go past the BIOS screen. The system was crashing for the past few months and now it wont boot at all.

When I press the Power button, all the fans turn on, the Mobo light comes on and the screen goes till "Asus Lifestyle" screen and then it goes blank and there is a Long Beep...followed by another long beep. Not sure what could be the problem.

Below is the config,

Intel C2D E6600 @ 2.4 ghz
Asus P5N32 e SLI
2 x 2 GB OCZ Platinum XTC DDR2 1000 MHz PC8000 Rams
XFX GeForce GTS 250 512MB
3.33 TB Sata HDD (not in RAID)
1 x 80 GB Sata HDD
2 x 500 GB Sata HDD
1 x 2 TB Sata HDD
1 x 250 GB Sata HDD

Win 7 Ultimate 64bit.

what's the PSU you're using ? Disconnect all the HDDs and try booting with a linux live distro CD / PD. Now connect HDDs one by one and see which one causing trouble.

I think the CPU is just broken
happens to everyone...
and also test all other components of your pc
maybe, i do not know for sure, is the problem by a other part or more that one thing is broken....

Guessing it's the PSU. I'm using GlacialPower GP-AL650AA in my PC. Think it's the culprit. Is there a GlacialPower Service Center in Bangalore?

Really out of the computing scene for a while. Need some help with a new config.

Need help buying the following stuff:-

CPU, ATX Motherboard (for now with integrated graphics to support Full HD), PSU, RAMs. Plan to buy a GPU later from US.

I'm looking for a VFM Mid range setup that will be able to play all games when I add the GPU.

Re: Asus P5N32 E SLI + Intel C2D E6600 - No Post After BIOS Screen + Long Beep

Just placed an order for the NZXT Source 530 from Primeabgb so my budget hmmm....let's see is now about 15-20K for the following

  1. CPU
  2. ATX Motherboard (for now with integrated graphics to support Full HD)
  3. PSU - I'm considering Cooler Master G650m 80+,haswell Zero Load, new Unused - Not sure if this is a good deal. I can do local pickup also.
  4. RAM (plan to buy a single 8 gb stick)

I'm going to put all the stuff from the old case into the new one and try to post once again. If not then will have to buy the stuff mentioned by you.

I think I found the culprit. The GPU's gone. Since P5N 32 e Sli dosen't have onboard graphics I cant test it.
