Android stolen

Someone stole my G1 Android phone, while I was traveling in a bus in Noida.
I have tried to lodge complaint, for which I have to talk to Station Incharge, which I am still doing.

In the meanwhile, I wanted to know what else can I possibly do.
Will anyone be able to help me?

Re: Android stolen

anuz, let go. it' trackable. but you'll have to get ACP' order to have it tracked by providers. and nobody knows when your phone will ping a network again.

very sorry to hear this..

Re: Android stolen

well. anyway i have accepted the loss.
But I want to go through entire legal procedure, I am tired of compromising on the things in life.
I do have IMEI number. The box is with me.

Re: Android stolen

one precautionary thing you can do is to lodge an FIR. that would ensure that the blame won't come upon you if the device is misused in anyway.

Re: Android stolen

yeah, btw, i am assuming no one will be able to use it until or unless they format the system because the phone has onscreen locking mechanism, which can be reset only after putting the correct pattern. and if the number of tries exceeds more than 5, it will ask for my mail account password.

Re: Android stolen

Very sorry to hear about your loss dude, but you have to report it to the police.
although it was not purchased by bill so that will be a problem too.
