Re: 5870 Crossfire Flickering Issue

Is your crossfire rig overclocked? if yes, try lowering the clocks of the cards a bit n then try again..

Its micro shutter right? u can do nothing to get rid of that. Its a ATI CF patent!

Re: 5870 Crossfire Flickering Issue

No, he is not talking about microstutter. And its not ATI exclusive. It exists on every multi GPU platform you can think off. Its more evident in some cases and not in some. Some people will notice it, some wont.

What OP is talking about is the actual flickering of the screen. Happens sometimes on multi GPU setups. If its universal, its can be driver related.
And Catalyst AI must be enabled for CF to work. Set it to advanced. And yes, roll back to 10.4 drivers

Re: 5870 Crossfire Flickering Issue

Thats screen tearing.
Check your bridges. If possible borrow some new ones from friends or dealers and try those.
Make sure your cards are sitting properly (I know its highly unlikely but do check ) in PCI express slots.
And just try switching the card slots. Move the one in first slot to second and vice versa.

Also I hope you have intalled catalyst application profiles.
If not, install latest one from here : Rage3D

And do one thing. Go to your CCC and make sure your wait for vsync option is set to Application controlled.
Just try these things and report back.
